Finally! I feel as if I’ve been set free from a long and tiresome stay in the black-and-white Kansas world in the movie, Wizard of Oz. We are now in that funny April-limbo where it’s still chilly, but the green grass is slowly poking through and the daffodils are almost in full bloom. It’s the time of year when you have to make the hard decision of ‘do I wear a jacket today? Or not?’. The menu slowly shifts, the shoe choices morph, and you can literally smell hope and newness sitting in the outdoor air.

Can you tell I love it? I so do.

And this year in particular I get to look forward to my very, very first ‘nephews in Little League’ season.

Oh, wowsers. Just makes me want to inhale, spread my arms wide and begin singing like Maria in The Sound of Music ( if I could sing like Maria…which I can’t. But still.)

I encourage you, wherever you are, take a moment to inhale and enjoy new things. It could be a new day, new season, new baby, or a new insight from the Lord.

Inhale, enjoy, revel and mosh-about in it. For the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it.
