Hi. I’m Heather.

I am a woman, a wife, a mom, a part-time entrepreneur, and most recently, a home school mother. I suppose I carry other roles than these, but these are the roles that are very present at this point in my life and the ones I’m finding I cherish the most.

I love chocolate, cheesecake, and sticky, childish kisses. I also adore my Saviour and King, Jesus Christ. He is my all-in-all and the only way I have the strength for each day of giving. I serve with my dear husband, The Engineer, at our home church out in the boonies of the Midwest. Each day is filled with love, laughter, trials, dirty dishes, and sore backs, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. (Occasionally, in moments of weakness, I feel I might be willing to trade it for a spa day. However, I would never trade it permanently. Ever. Give me calluses, bunions, blackheads, and un-stylish hair any day if it means I would lose my time with children most people think of as ‘inconveniences’.)  Just for the record, we think all children are blessings from God. Unequivocally.

If you have time on any given day, try to remember that and start writing about your kids. It will open your eyes to the treasures they truly are.
